Nobody is born as a writer or as an expert author. One who writes must cultivate and discover for himself on how to make a good, convincing and even a persuasive article. By then, writing is not an easy task to do. Writing needs someone’s perseverance and courage to get it done.
As an experience, our teacher once gave us a task; to answer the pre-writing exercises and know more about the four steps in effective writing. I did much on those assignments, but frankly, I had a hard time doing them. I followed it up with a question, “What more could it be?” and sort of losing confidence in writing. For one thing, I write with pleasure because I want my readers to be pleased, but it depends though. I write depending on my mood and the place of writing. Sometimes I want to hear music, sometimes I don’t and that’s why, maybe I am having a hard time doing so. Another thing is that I couldn’t write “good” essays without my favorite pen, Leone; with its black, circle-molded ceramic case that fits my fingers very well and the dark, professional ink that makes my hand writing considerable, unless I’m pressured. It had been years now that I’m into writing, but it’s just these days I knew I have a lot more to learn about it; good thing there’s Comm 1!
Along with writing, I’m not really particularly good at putting off writing tasks. It’s because, my ideas might be gone and I just really wanted to prove to myself that I can do it. On the other hand, I can manage though. I make sure I’m good and completed at least 7 hours of sleep for me to finish an essay. Also, I started to make most out of my time; grabbing and collecting ideas to fill in the blanks of the essay I write, for I know it’s going to be a part of my life now. Since I know there’s no one I am to depend with but myself, I am learning to become a better, nicer and a braver me.
There’s nothing such as perfect in this world, therefore we should try how to make things as perfect as possible. Like in parallelism, we need not to worry about balanced sentences when writing first drafts, but should try to match it correctly the second time. Like Dr. Nemenzo said, “…the more you write, the more the noticeable the improvement”, which simply means you can’t just do writing by just a sprint but by laps. By then, realizing about writing doesn’t only count on what I write, but also on how I write it. It’s getting easier as I looked more into it. It’s simply getting incredible, getting amazing. Now that’s the way it is!

Nobody is born as a writer or as an expert author.
ReplyDeleteThis is true. And as what Dr. Francisco Nemenzo said that good writers are not born, they are made. One not only needs to keep writing but also to keep reading.:)
Uhm, I have a question. I'm a little bit confused. Could there be two topic sentence in one paragraph? Because I can see that you have two bold sentences in your first and second paragraphs. (?.?)
Anyway, you have a nice blog. Keep it up!:)
TROOY!
ReplyDelete"Nobody is born as a writer or as an expert author."
Really true. Nobody is born to be a good writer but it doesn't mean you can't be one. :))
Godbless..
"...you can’t just do writing by just a sprint but by laps."
ReplyDeleteI would have to agree Troy. Writing is a journey and should be traveled with perseverance, patience and courage to go on.
I also agree. Writing is actually a lifetime process. According to Dr. Nemenzo, you should always read and write so that you'll enhance your skills. Also, you should never be satisfied with one draft.
ReplyDeleteuhmm.. heya, guys.. thanks for the comments :)
ReplyDeleteanyway, it seemed all of us agreed to what Mr. Dodong Nemenzo said, that writers are to be made. :) We can make ourselves writers then! Anyway, I also got confused about having two topic sentences in a paragraph, but i still continued writing, i just went on writing. I just remembered something my mentor had taught me when i was in my press club years :) If it's wrong, it's okay, by then, I'll know where and what mistakes I commit.
Troy,
ReplyDeleteI agree that there is nothing perfect in this world, but atleast it is the closest to perfection. For me, this means that eventhough we are not good writers but with constant practice and determination we have greater possiblity that we are better than before.
