During the reign of the late president Ferdinand Marcos emerged the violation of human rights; the exploitation of the press freedom and the banning of broadcast stations throughout the nation. For one thing, information disseminated is limited. News broadcasts are mainly coming from the presidential house and that no one can ever approve them but Marcos himself. Another is that, many people lost their jobs, especially to those who are in broadcasting. Broadcasters never had opportunities on coming back to work since broadcasting is banned and it is hard for them to look for another job. Also, the people felt nothing but anger, but they can’t do anything about it, he’s in power; he is the primary means of everything. Lastly, Filipinos seek and were thirsty for the truth and freedom. This has made a great emphasis towards each and every Filipino, died and living, in getting back the rights they had thirst for.

ReplyDeleteIt seemed that the broadcasters had more disadvantage during the Marcos regime not only because of the thirst freedom and everything like the other people, but also their job that was their passion and source of income.
